As we strengthen our ability to deliver breakthrough brand experiences, verbal identity, content strategy and strategic messaging have become top priorities for our firm. To that end, we are thrilled to welcome Matthew DeMaio to DeSantis Breindel as Group Director, Communications.
With more than 20 years’ experience as a strategist, writer, and editor, Matthew has led communications development for a range of organizations and agencies – most recently as the head of his own practice. Prior to founding his own firm in 2008, Matthew worked as a strategist, creative director, journalist and advisor across many organizations, with a particular focus on sustainability, CSR and social enterprise initiatives.
Matthew holds a Master of Science degree in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and a BA in Journalism from the College of Mount St. Vincent. When he isn’t working, you can find him practicing street photography, helping immigrants prepare for their citizenship tests or indulging his love of jazz.
He is a fantastic writer and collaborator with a keen ability to help brands find and express their authentic voices and to convey complex concepts in simple, audience-specific ways. We are excited to have him on board as a member of the DeSantis Breindel team.
