This article from The Motley Fool, a multimedia financial services company, highlights the rise in stock prices and online sales as it correlates with different lifestyle companies’ Pinterest followers.  The article notes, “The most important part of a Pinterest following isn’t that it’s large, but that a company can convert it into something meaningful. That means turning online interest into online sales.” If Pinterest can generate online profits for retail companies through the re-sharing and consumption of images, then there’s no doubt the Pinterest will become a powerful tool for retailers.
