Why do employees get involved in corporate social responsibility activities?

Is it the opportunity to “do good”? Or maybe the chance to make a positive impression on company management? Perhaps just to get a day off from work?

The answer isn’t always obvious. We recently wrote an article for HRO Today that examined how firms can better understand what motivates employees to participate in volunteer programs. We also examined how to leverage that information to build effective communications campaigns.
