We created this web-based digital asset management software from the ground up to solve usability and workflow issues around finding, tracking and managing RWJF's library of 14,000+ assets. To bring the work of their grantees to life, the foundation commonly commissions thousands of photos a year to tell stories from communities around the nation. They were in need of a tailor-made product, crafted specifically for them to easily store, organize, access, edit and monitor the usage of their growing database.
This web based product is capable of multi-user upload, download and approval workflows, in addition to advanced search/browse, asset management and sharing functionalities. Features and functionality were built to satisfy a few high level pain points around the need to manage and track the plethora of requests for assets traditionally managed through email, adding New users needed to be introduced into the app and allowed levels of access to the various management tasks of assets, and advanced search behavior needed to be supported for extremely time-sensitive scenarios to find and obtain assets.
